How To Register Your Globe At Home Prepaid Wifi To HomeSURF or GoSURF Via GlobeAtHome App

Are you one of the Globe At Home Prepaid Wifi users? How was your experience then so far? Are you satisfied by what its advertisements is saying about its performance? Well, I’m gonna tell you a short story about my experience then.

When I transferred to my new house, having my own home internet connection is one of my priorities. I searched online which is the best postpaid home internet I can avail. Unfortunately, upon queries to different internet providers, they only told me these same words: “Sorry Sir, but we currently don’t have expansion lines in your area but we are looking forward to expand in the near future”. Nah! Isn’t it a little bit frustrating and devastating to know that your location is still out of their coverage. I tried my luck in Globe outlet only to get the same response but they offered me this Globe At Home Prepaid Wifi. At first I was hesitant but to my frustration, I bought one and tried at home. After installing it at home, the signal bar was full but I’m not getting any download traffic. After a few hours of troubleshooting, still I can’t even load a single web page though it says I’m connected to internet. Though it is loading, it is taking so long to fully load. To my dismay, I went back to Globe store for a customer claim. After testing, it was verified that their is nothing wrong with my unit. They even explained to me that the signal depends to the location. So why did they still offered it to me after checking that my location is not yet covered in their expansion lines in the first place?? They even added that postpaid lines and prepaid lines have different priorities when it comes to LTE bandwidth allocation? Why need to differ the priorities? Is there any difference in money the postpaid subscriber is paying than the prepaid user??

I was totally mad that day and left no choice but to go home and bring the unit with me. I still installed it in my room and left powered ON over my cabinet for days hoping for luck that it would still be usable for me. After a week or two, a miracle happened. I can now surf the web using it without any interruption. I can even watch youtube and download movies using my IDM. I don’t know what actually happened, but maybe it seems that the cellular tower/network that covers my area learned that there is a prepaid subscriber using LTE network and they decided to allocate more bandwidth. Or, they just upgraded their service coverage in my area.

As of now, I never had experience again any slow internet connection in my Globe At Home Prepaid Wifi. To my satisfaction, I no longer aspire to apply for any postpaid internet connection. This one is enough for my needs. Monthly, I load it with P1,000.00 pesos to avail the HomeSURF999 which has 65GB of data allocation good for 1 month. If I were to compare it to my previous prepaid pocket wifi kit, I can say it was faster, stronger and has bigger data allocation. For me, I can say it is also better than having a home postpaid line connection because you don’t have to pay any installation fee and never get yourself locked in a 24-month period of subscription. It may not be as portable as pocket wifi, but you can still bring it with you anywhere as long as you have access to an AC source outlet to power your unit.

So now, let’s go back to business. How do you load your Globe At Home Prepaid Wifi via Globe At Home App?

Here’s how I do it:

First, click the GlobeAtHome icon.
Once open, click the GO TO DASHBOARD button.
Then you will see the remaining data you have left. Before proceeding, please ensure that you have enough prepaid wifi load to buy more data. Since I always avail the HomeSURF999, I load it first with P1,000. If you don’t know how to load your Globe At Home Wifi prepaid, just follow this link. Then click +GET MORE DATA.
Then choose your preferred promo and click SUBSCRIBE.
Then select your payment option, since I have prepaid Wifi Load, I select the second option.
Once you verify the details of your transaction, click the SUBSCRIBE NOW.
After subscribing, the system will display a success prompt as shown below. You can click the GO TO HOME button to go back to your dashboard and check if your load has been sent to your number.
At your dashboard, you will notice that your prepaid Wifi load was deducted to the amount of promo you availed and your internet data has increased. See below photo:
And Voila! Indulge in your bigger data allocation for 1 month. You can either surf the net, watch your favorite movies online, download movies or hang out in your social media account.
